Bodegas Borsao Red 2007 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Nose of red berries and roses

Juicy core of fruit on the palate

Finish of tart cherry and herbs

This is a lean wine that has some fruit, floral, and herb qualities. Overall it's not very good and lacks depth, but I'm not going to pick it apart when it's in the value aisle at $7 or so.

Spanish wines can be excellent values, but in this case I recommend you spend a few more dollars for something better. In fact, Borsao's red wines in the $12-15 range are much better. Raise a glass to Spain!

I had this wine last night, and for $6 I thought this wine was a super value. Very easy to drink, a little one dimensional, not much of a bouquet, but a very smooth finish with red berries and almost no heat. Many $5-$7 bottles will have horrible hot peppery finishes, not this one. Go out and buy this wine at almost any supermarket and enjoy a nice cheap bottle of wine under the stars.

We just finished a bottle of this wine after doing "robo cuts" in-home haircuts...cheap haircuts/cheap wine..Life is Good!
    Here are our thoughts:
red berry - currant - hint of citrus - mild pepper
    Overall, a B+

I like dry reds very much and just enjoyed a bottle of this wine. A very good wine for the price. Goes down very easy - smooth!
