Youthful purple hue with light aromas of spiciness, gentle dark berry fruit and not much more.
Palate--Nice first impression with balanced acidity, intense fruit on mid-palate with lovely dark blackberry and a hint of espresso. Not much of a finish but this young wine needs to open up.
At the $20 price point, this Seghesio Zin is well structured and distinguishes it from a decent $10 Zin from Sonoma of which I just grabbed a case. If you "know wine" ie., have an experienced palate it is worth the difference. If you do not, stick with the $10 Zins. FWIW. Raise a glass!
