A very pretty dark ruby sets this wine off right appealing to the eyes then coming in to play is the rich lovely ripe ruby red grapefruit notes, on top of ripe juicy red berries.
Palate--Big fruity front palate with silky tannins and a nice acidic line to carry the weight of the fruit. The fruity mid palate lingers for a good bit and leaves you wanting another taste.
I paid a meagher $11 for this Jumilla (Spain) of Monastrell (known as "Mourvédre" in other countries) and Cabernet Sauvignon.
This is a very well made wine and at this price point quite surprising so raise a glass. I will be pairing it with oven roasted chicken and root vegetables.
