Palate--Chewy, earthy, harsh dried cherries on a rather nasty foundation with a touch of smoke on the finish.
The 2007 vintage of this Trader Joe's selection was one of my wine values of the year. At $6 it was hard to beat. This particular vintage is the kind you want to pass up at any price.
