Tasting notes:
Ripe dark berries, dried herbs, and lots of chocolate on the nose
Full bodied and densely textured on the palate
Long finish of dark berries, black currants, and mocha
Summary:
After an hour or so, this wine began to open up nicely with dense fruit and chocolate layers. Made from primarly Syrah, it has a profile that allows for immediate enjoyment as long as you give it time to breathe. If you cellar it, the wine should develop nicely for 5-10 years.
My experience with Lewis Cellars has been limited, but the wines seem to be of very high quality. Expect to pay around $60 for this bottle, and raise a glass!
