Lolonis Redwood Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 Wine Review (NW)
Tasting notes:
Big cherry on the nose with a layer of red berries accented by warm spices
Medium-weight core of fruit on the palate
Finishes with more red berries, tapering fairly quickly
At first, I didn't like this wine all that much. Then it really grew on me because of its fragrant nose and good flavors that emerged.
Possibly, I just needed to adjust to it because it is a lighter style of Cab. The flavors are more of the red fruit than the dark fruit and mocha in so many other Cab's. It really has nice personality.
I paid $20 for this wine at a local wine shop, and have seen internet prices range fom $17-$21. Raise a glass!
