Picton Bay Pinot Noir 2010 review by (PB)

Lighter cherry hue with aromas of red berries and light strawberry, light white pepper and spice.

Palate--bright, edgy strawberry front with later subtle cocoa, and smoke.

Simple, straight forward but with a foundation that has some real zip to it. Light finish of smoke that lingers a bit.

A Trader Joe's New Zealand Pinot for $8 is about all I need to say. It is very drinkable and its fruity foundation makes it desirable to those who might think they don't like red wine. Raise a glass to another TJ value.
