Pine Ridge California Chenin Blanc- Viognier 2009 Wine Review (NW)
Tasting notes:
Interesting aromas of white peach, clementine, and lemon on the nose
Full bodied on the palate
Rich layers of pear and lychee on the finish
Summary:
This wine is rich and has a good flavor profile. I see it more and more as a wine by the glass offering at restaurants. It's a good choice for its versatility.
The blend is 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier. This gives the wine rich fruit flavor and depth along with some weight without being too heavy. Expect to pay in the low teens, although I've seen this wine priced as low as $10 on the internet. Raise a glass!
