Buena Vista Carneros Pinot Noir 2006 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Gorgeous notes of cherry, mushrooms, and spice on the nose

Medium bodied and smooth on the palate

Long finish of cherry, vanilla, mocha, and spice

Summary:

Here's a Pinot Noir that has really come together with a couple years of bottle age. It shows nice layers and has great texture. Additionally, it's all very well integrated and harmonious. For that reason, it seems to be extra silky and drinks effortlessly.

I opened three Pinots over three consecutive nights for regular accompaniment to dinner- this wine and the two posted below. All similar in price (this one was $16), they each showed good varietal character. This wine, however, is the best of the three. Check it out and raise a glass!
