Alois Lageder Alto Adige Pinot Bianco 2006 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Nose of melon, lemon, wet stones, and white pepper

Tart and elegant on palate

Finish of citrus, tapers nicely

There are a lot of good, crisp white wines out of Italy. This one is from the Alto Adige region which is fast becoming a world class wine producing region in Northeast Italy.

It has a nice a balance of fruit flavors and mineral content, accented by white pepper. Grab it to go with a basic seafood dish or lemon chicken. You should find this priced around $13 or so. Raise a glass!
