Gorgeous inky dark magenta hue with aromas of rose petals above the rim immense, sweet black licorice, laced with fruity dark plum, definite cedar note, more flowers, violettes, perfume, gorgeous!
Palate--Silky texture with boatloads of dense fruit, beams of ripe plum, blackberry, and a finish that lingers a good while.
This is a beautiful expression of the grape masterfully made and numerous layers in the bouquet and will only get better with time. This is the difference between solid, well made $10 wines and is step or two up showing why certain wines cost more.
I paid $17 for this lovely wine and would not have been disappointed if I had paid $25. I am pairing it with my slow-cooked, BBQ'd spare ribs. Raise a glass!
