I just knocked back a 2004 of this , and I think its one of the best 9$ reds I've tried so far. Its kinda of strange I'm thinking a Panera bread sierra turkey lunch or a bloody steak dinner or maybe spinach and feta pizza or this maybe a stretch but even Chilean black grapes and partagas black cigars while being pretentious on the patio are all applicable pairings .The 2004 has a little tingle resembling carbonation but otherwise a very pleasant almost netual experience. I guess the price point enhances the excitement.
