Chianti is less expensive and taste almost identical. Very dissappointed in the bitter aftertaste. Not costly but does not meet the written reviews. I will try the 2009 to assess for discrepancies. Also no cork? I should have known.....not an expert but knowledgeable for the working mans' taste. Thanks for the opportunity to vent!
Actually Chianti isn't normally "cheaper" but then again it depends what quality level of Chianti you are referencing. If you perceived a bitter after taste you may be developing a problem with your nasopharyngeal area. "No cork?" you should have known what??? Bottom line is that your preference is YOUR preference; no one can argue with that but the rest of your vent is objectively lacking. Raise a glass!
