These were the various bottles I had picked up while visiting the region last week. Your story is probably right on. Weins has completed construction and did a great job with a large tasting room where you can see into the barrel room. Outside tasting area is also a great place to sit and enjoy a bottle. Their reds are lucious.

You missed my favorite wineries like Cougar Vineyards on De Portola Road cougarvineyards.com and Oak Mountain Winery and Palumbo Family Vineyards. They are small boutique wineries, off the main drag so not usually crowded and make some different varietals from Tempranio to Primitivo.

It is the little known wineries that are the most fun.

Joe DiLullo www.JoeDiLullo.comJoe DiLullo Real Estate and Winehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09714235761386117271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9997088.post-60044316109856971602007-08-28T18:01:00.000-04:002007-08-28T18:01:00.000-04:00Temecula is bordered by Murrieta on the northwest ...Temecula is bordered by Murrieta on the northwest and the Pechanga Indian Reservation on the south, with unincorporated areas of Riverside County on all of its other borders. It is served by the Interstate 15 (Temecula Valley Freeway) and Interstate 215, along with California State Route 79. With neighboring Murrieta, Temecula forms the southwestern anchor of the Inland Empire region. sportsbook It is almost equidistant to San Diego and Los Angeles; many residents consider themselves as living in a suburb of one of the two. Temecula is also home to many military families from nearby MCB Camp Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, March Air Reserve Base and the Navy bases in San Diego.
http://www.enterbet.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9997088.post-36093970595033573862007-07-04T18:54:00.000-04:002007-07-04T18:54:00.000-04:00Hello I want to congratulate to them by its site o...Hello I want to congratulate to them by its site of the Web of the exelente looks like entertained and very good very to me

it elaborated. Absolutely beautiful. I didn't get the same feel from servers last time I was there though.

A must visit for next time is Faulkner's. Everytime I've been there has been a real treat. Their staff has always gone the extra mile to explain the different wines we were tasting. Funny story.. the first time I went there our server described each of the wines in an appropriate accent: an Aussie accent for the Shiraz, a French accent for their Meritage Bordeaux and what can only be descibed as The Godfather for their Italian Red. What makes this funny is that when I commented that the Marlon Brando impression reminded me of being back in NY (where I'm originally from) he segwayed into a NY accent and then to a "Long Island" accent as I explained where I was from. And once he heard the town in Long Island he started reciting the stops on the Long Island Railroad that passed my town... and he was accurate.

Bella Vista is another winery (on Anza, just off Rancho Califonia Rd) that has a very friendly staff. Thornton winery also has a great reputation for their wines and a very nice looking winery too.. although their a bit pricier than the others. But very good nonetheless.

Temecula boasts over 22+ wineries at this point (and growing). Its certainly a jewel tucked away just barely over the San Diego County border in Riverside.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9997088.post-1157912096735957722006-09-10T14:14:00.000-04:002006-09-10T14:14:00.000-04:00It's fun to see a post about Temecula. After reading your post, we might try to get back out there this month to see the vines this time of year.

If you come out again, be sure to try Stuart Cellars, too... it's reasonably priced, and we enjoyed everything we tasted there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
